Beware of the Brothers

Controversy Alert!

She marries a brother. "She's adopted they aren't really brothers!" Those are brothers lmfao.

Review: Honestly, I think worse than an adopted child gets married to someone she was raised with as a sibling, is that they don't even have any chemistry!! They're so... sparkless. I seriously don't understand why people jump at blood relation to defeat the incest accusations of a story. If they're raised toegther, they're siblings. Yuck.

The parents take Harley in because she's identical to their dead daughter. She's severely bullied for her entire childhood, and in her first life, on the eve of her getting married, she suddenly regresses to the childhood of neglect and bullying. In the future, it's heavily implied that Eugene is denying some less-than-appropriate feelings for her, and they drive that home REALLY hard in the past we read through. In the first like 10 chapters, Eugene is constantly blushing at the mere presence of her, then turning around to insult and belittle her, the way little boys with complicated feelings tend to do.

So annoying.

I do feel for Eugene who was just trying to navigate being a child with a mentally ill mother, though. There's a lot of shit he dealt with that a child obviously wouldn't know how to process, and it makes sense that he'd imprint onto her after his whole come-to-jesus moment of abandoning her on a crowded street.

I also appreciate that Harley didn't have any aspirations to get some twisted revenge on grieving children, she only gives tit-for-tat when these kids do rude shit to her. There's no grand plan of destruction against literal kids like in some childhood regression stories. I'm honestly mostly annoyed about the endgame because Harley's original husband was such a sweetheart, he definitely deserved a happy ending with Harley! Harley deserved a happy ending with someone who was like. Normal. Lol.

Anyway, the fact that all three of the brothers fall in love with her, desipte having lived with her since she was SEVEN, and how she's IDENTICAL to their DEAD SISTER, is fucking gross lmao.
