For My 'Derelict/Forsaken' 'Favorite/Beloved'

Controversy Alert!

Some people feel Diana is a self righteous black-and-white thinker who can't actually consider anyones worldview except her own in any given situation, and some people feel that Cael's suicide is Cael's decision and cannot be blamed on a woman whose only crime was 'not responding to his affections'. In my opinion, both can be true at the same time. She's a selfish girl who wants to be the only special person in the world and wants all of Cael's affection without giving a word of thanks in return, and she's also allowed to make her own romantic decisions just as Cael is allowed to make his own mortality decisions.

Also some people are deeply put off by a fangirl-type FL.

Review: An example of "transmigrated, possessed, and regressed" as mentioned in the OI information page!

Hestia was suddenly a wealthy extra with no responsibilities in her favorite novel, and she spent her days faithfully observing the storyline from afar, the way a true fan should! But when the novel ended, she didn't return to her world. She began to despair, her wealth dwindled to nothing, and worst of all, her beloved Cael began attempting suicide. And at the point where Hestia finally found a glimmer of hope, even that was taken away when Cael finally ended his life in front of her very eyes.

Then she zhoops back to the first attempted suicide and bomps him out of harms way, boldly declaring she wants to marry him. Very fangirl!

The art for this title is very nice, there's not a lot of visible assets in the beginning. I always believe that if they're gonna be lazy right out the gate, it's gonna look like shit in later chapters. I understand for some props like carriages and furniture, but using models for the characters themselves is unbearably lazy. I blame slave-driving editors for those poor choices that the overworked authors have to make to satisfy them. Luckily the character art is passionate beautiful, and the chibis tell me how sincere the artist is.

I enjoy the 'classic villainess' aura that Hestia emits. Her behavior is entirely in line with her characterization of 'if it's done for Cael, I'm in the right!' it's honestly endearing. There's a consistant vibe through the entire story of "Diana shows up, Hestia takes her down a peg, Diana is totally humbled and teary eyed." Very classic villainess :3 Also her immediate kinship with the butler is so adorable!

This title does a great job at depicting Cael's depression. Recovery isn't linear, and sometimes things get worse before they get better. Being a drama story, obviously things get blown out of proportion here and there, but honestly, this title is decent.
