When it comes to this title, everyone seems to have something to say. Rashta/Trashta is a horrid little minx or an understandable little meowmeow doing her best. Sovieshu is a shitheel of maximum proportions. Navier is somehow both girlboss and pickme. Heinry is both golden retrieverbird and suspicious backstabbing bastard. This title is EXTREMELY polarizing, and I cannot for the life of me understand why because quite frankly it is MID!

Review: Navier has been empress since she and her husband/emperor Sovieshu were children, basically. That didn't stop him from bringing in a random escaped slave with the maturity level of a child, passing her off as a sister-wife for the Empress, and banging his mental childbride until she got knocked up. Navier isn't standing for this so she leaves Sovieshu for the prince of the neighboring kingdom, her penpal, a bird person, Heinry. What a shit name lmao. There's a billion chapters worth of "omg can heinry be trusted?! omg is he actually a bad dude?! omg heinry heinry heinry." I AM AGEING.
Rashta was, in all fucking honesty, making extremely smart choices for a woman in her situation. Until she tried espionage. She should have just accepted her place as a mistress, she should have told Sovieshu about her getting blackmailed, she should have asked for help. If she had, she would have lived in luxury for the rest of her life. Subterfuge was not her strong suit, and as a result she was exploited and caught over and over and over again. She bears "the emperor's" child(lol cuck), and he has no use for her after that. She dies miserable and alone as a result of her stupid as fuck choices. She was an immature and childish girl who didn't deserve the start she got, but she deserved her ending.
Navier and Heinry have like three problems total that last roughly the same length of time as the fucking plieocene period and then live happily ever after with twins because it turns out Sovieshu is the one who was infertile. Classic 'man who blames his wife is actually the problem' bullshit. Sovieshu slowly retreats into the setting sun and leaves his FUCKING EMPIRE to his ex wife??? So Navier gives the east kingdom to her daughter and the west kingdom to her son. Her children that turn into birds. This could not possibly cause problems later down the line.
